Blue Sapphire Engagement Rings
Sapphire rings can be artfully designed in endless ways, showcasing a romantic commitment or worn as a statement cocktail ring. Sapphire rings are readily available as engagement rings often glittering with diamond side stones, gifted as anniversary rings, wedding bands, or stacking rings. Sapphire is the birthstone for September, but others born in other months choose sapphire instead of their birthstone.
Stunning and practical sapphire
This beautiful stone offers many positive attributes, making them not only breathtakingly stunning, but functional, wearable, and practical for frequent wear. Sapphires rate 9 on the Mohs hardness scale (out of 10), making them extremely durable.
Sapphire Colours: More Than Just Blue
Sapphires are available in so many different colors, a rainbow of vibrancy at your fingertips. Sapphires are synonymous with the most popular, deep royal blue, but come in almost every hue imaginable, including colorless (clear), which is sometimes used as a diamond alternative. Luscious pink, orange, yellow, and green sapphires are set into tennis bracelets and other mountings side by side, accentuating the shade next to it.
Are Sapphires Valuable?
A sapphire’s value is dependent on its color and region. According to GIA (Gemological Institute of America), the most valuable blue sapphires exhibit a velvety blue to violet-ish blue, ranging from medium to medium-dark tones. Less valuable blue sapphires are too light or too dark (think almost blue-black), but these sapphires are still beautiful.
