This is a 5mm men’s wedding ring in a flat court profile.
The centre of this ring has a slightly raised polish finish with polish metal on either size giving a contemporary subtle look.
The raised centre provide the contrast between the centre and the lower sides.

It is also ‘comfort fit’ meaning there is a subtle curve inside the ring which makes it more comfortable to wear.

This ring is available from 4mm wide to 6mm wide and in many different metal choices.

  • It is available in all precious metals and at different price points.
  • Please allow approx 5 weeks to get this ring remade in your exact finger size and preferred metal.

Sustainable yet precious

At Commins And Co Jewellers, we work closely with nine international diamond dealers from across the world. They have access to over 100 million certified diamonds – certified by the GIA, HRD Antwerp or IGI Antwerp. This ensures the best quality, choice, value and ethical sourcing for our customers.

We work closely with the manufacturers of lab grown diamonds in the US. We have access to over 250,000 certified lab grown diamonds.

Diamond information

Determining the quality of a diamond involves what jewellers refer to as the “Four C’s”; Cut, Colour, Clarity and Carat. There are 8 things to be aware of when considering buying a diamond.

Cut

The cut of the diamond is different to the shape. The cut relates to how the facets interact with light. In simple terms, it relates to the sparkle of your diamond. This information is graded on a diamond certificate. It is graded from ‘excellent’; ‘very good’; ‘good’; ‘fair’ ;’poor’. We recommend a cut grade of ‘excellent’ or ‘very good’ to ensure you get maximum sparkle in your diamond.

Fluorescence

The fluorescence grade of a diamond can be identified on a diamond certificate. If a diamond has fluorescence it can make the diamond look milky or cloudy in day light (or UV light). The inclusion of fluorescence in a diamond can drastically reduce its cost. We advise ‘nil’ or ‘slight’ on the fluorescence grade to ensure maximum sparkle for your diamond.

Carat

When it comes to choosing a diamond, the most significant factor to consider will probably be price. Your budget will determine the carat of the diamond you can afford. Generally, the heavier a diamond is, the higher the price. A popular misconception is that the size of the diamond will be the biggest price-influencing factor. In fact, the carat of a diamond refers to its weight and not its size – which can look bigger or smaller depending upon the quality of the cut.

Conflict free

All our diamonds are certified by the most reputable bodies in the world. Our network of diamond dealers comply with the Kimberly Process and only source conflict free diamonds. We have a very strict ‘no blood diamond policy’ and do not sell pre-owned, uncertified or antique jewellery for this reason.

Clarity

The clarity of a diamond relates to the number and size of the small blemishes or inclusions inside the diamond. Most people have a preference to have no marks visible to the naked eye. The clarity grade of a diamond can be found on the diamond certificate. Great value can be found with diamonds which have inclusions but are not visible to the naked eye due to their position and colour.

Conscience

Many people like the idea of a diamond but have reservations about the industry. A recent breakthrough in technology has facilitated the market for lab grown diamonds. These are identical to ‘earth grown diamonds’ in terms of durability, colour, certificate etc. Almost all rings in our Dublin jewellers are available with lab grown diamonds.

Certificate

A certificate is a third party’s assessment on the quality and specifications of a diamond. It includes the carat weight, colour, clarity, cut, measurement, fluorescence. The most reputable bodies are the GIA, HRD Antwerp and IGI Antwerp. These are the only certificate bodies we would recommend.

Confidence

It is important to have confidence in your jeweller. Our award winning jewellers is one of a very small number of Irish jewellers who make the majority of our rings in house. Our designer, goldsmith and diamond setter make over 95% of our engagement rings in our workshop in Dublin City centre.

Our core belief is “Quality in everything we do”, and we know we can do it best when we make it ourselves!

Sustainability

“It has been a personal mission to source the most sustainable and ethical options from suppliers I can trust. Our recycled gold, responsibly sourced natural diamonds and gemstones as well as our lab grown diamonds and gemstones ensure you can choose from our range, knowing you’re choosing a sustainable engagement ring or engagement ring. Any negative effect will be offset by our commitment to plant 4 trees for every ring we sell!”

Service

Our passion is quality – from the materials we use the manufacturing techniques adopted to ensure each and every piece can be a future heirloom.

To help keep your rings looking as they first did, we offer free sonic cleaning on all rings purchased from us, either online or in-store. Simply walk in and ask for it to be cleaned, no appointment necessary! We also offer “cost-price goldsmith services” which means should your ring need to be replated, resized or repaired, the cost to you is simply for the goldsmith’s time.

We also suggest you drop in your ring every 1-2 years, for it to be checked to ensure there are no loose diamonds etc. This helps prevent further expense later on, should a diamond be lost!
